Taking A Cycle Count

A cycle count is taken to recalculate the program’s inventory levels. A cycle count is a good idea if you want to update a small amount of inventory items.

It’s important to note that a cycle count will only update stock quantities for items that are scanned on the list.

  • To take a cycle count, go to: Home > List > Physical Inventory List.
  • An active window will appear titled “Clear List?” select Yes.
  • In the top left-hand corner of the list, in the Operation drop-down select Cycle Count
  • Now, you’ll simply scan the items that you would like to update.
  • Once all of the desired items are scanned, select the F5-Update button.
  • An active window titled “Perform Cycle Count Update” will appear, select OK.
  • Another window will appear letting you know that once the operation is performed that it cannot be reversed. When you are ready select Yes.
  • Once the update is complete, a screen will appear letting you know how many records were updated. Select OK. The window will close and the quantities have now been updated.
