To discount an item during a sales entry transaction,

Select New Sale in the programs’ toolbar

Scan/enter in the desired item

In the Scan/Qty field type in the percentage of discount you’d like to apply.

For Example: a 10% discount would be entered in the Scan/Qty field as .10

Press Enter on the keyboard, and the discount will applied.
