π UniformPay Setup Guide
This guide walks you through setting up System, Security, and User Permissions to enable UniformPay and Merchant Portal access in The Uniform Solution (TUS).
1οΈβ£ System Security Setup
Enabling System Security is a required step for Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing users to access the Merchant Portal directly from within TUS.
Steps:

Go to Setup > System

Check the box labeled:
β Use the system security and logon options
π Note:
This step is required to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality with the Merchant Portal
π Important Notes:

Users will now be prompted to log in when opening The Uniform Solution.

Enables enhanced logging of user activity for auditing and security.
-
Allows seamless access to the MerchantTrack portalβno separate browser login required.
2οΈβ£ User Setup for Merchant Portal Access
Each user who needs access to the Merchant Portal must have a properly configured user profile in TUS.
Steps:

Navigate to Setup > Users

For each applicable user, ensure the following details are completed:

First and Last Name (must be two words with a space between)

Phone Number
-
Email Address
π If the user is a store clerk without personal contact info, use the store number and a shared/store email address.

3οΈβ£ Assign Merchant Portal Permissions

Click the “5. UniformPay” tab in the User setup screen.

Under Merchant Account Portal Permissions, assign access levels per user:

π Search Transactions & Activate Terminals

π Run Reports
-
π Reverse Open and Settled Transactions
-
π³ Use the Virtual Terminal

4οΈβ£ Assign Operational Permissions in TUS
Still under the UniformPay tab, assign relevant Operational Permissions tied to UniformPay functions within The Uniform Solution:

π Enable Manual Entry form use when terminal presentΒ :
Allow manual credit card entry even if a terminal is detected on the workstation. -
π± Enable Mobile App Payments:
Allow the user to process payments via the mobile app. -
π Deposit Reconciliation Report Access:
Grants access to the βUniformPay Payments & Depositsβ report.

5οΈβ£Activate UniformPay for the Store
To link the merchant account to your store within TUS:

Navigate to Setup > Store

Select and open your store
-
Go to the Payments tab
-
Choose UniformPay
-
Paste the Merchant Identifier (MID) into the appropriate field

If you’re also using The Uniform Solution WebStore, you’ll need to configure settings specific to online orders, customer access, and payment processing. This setup is separate from the retail store configuration.
