Inventory Standards List and Codes
The Inventory Standards List is used to standardize item information within your Inventory List. It ensures consistency when entering styles by defining required details such as color, description, size, and code.
Inventory standards help maintain accurate, uniform data across all inventory items.
Inventory Codes Overview
Inventory codes are used to classify and control item behavior within your system. They can identify item types, manage order status, and enforce specific rules.
Codes can be used to:
- Prevent items from being reordered (e.g., discontinued items)
- Group items (e.g., seasonal or reorderable products)
- Block discounting at the point of sale
- Prevent automatic price updates
- Override standard tax settings
- Display messages or require authorization during sales
To add a new code to the Inventory Standards List, go to: Lists > Inventory Standards

Select Code > New Code

On the Adding Code screen enter the desired Code and Description
Navigate tabs 1-4 to customize the new code.
Once all desired changes have been made, select OK to save your changes.

You will then be able to select the code on the items record in the inventory list.
