πŸ’Ό WebStore Configuration – Customers

Overview

The Customers section in the POS system allows administrators to configure customer-related features that directly impact functionality within the WebStore. This includes managing which countries customers can enter during checkout, account linking capabilities, and billing options.

To manage this please go to your WebStore configuration. You can do this by selecting the setup tab < WebStore < Double click into the active configuration < select the customer tab.


🌍 Countries Allowed for Address Entry

Use these settings to control which countries and corresponding regions are available for address entry during customer registration or checkout.

Country/Region Description
United States Enables selection of any of the 50 states when “United States” is selected as the country.
Canada Enables selection of Canadian provinces when “Canada” is selected.
Australia Enables selection of Australian states/territories when “Australia” is selected.
US Territories Enables selection of U.S. territories (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam) when “US Territories” is selected.
United Kingdom Allows manual entry of counties when “United Kingdom” is selected.
Other Allows users to manually enter any address in the state/province and country fields, providing the most flexibility.

βœ… Tip: Enable only the countries relevant to your business to streamline customer address input.


πŸ”— Allow Account Linking

Account Linking provides WebStore access to existing customer accounts, including sub-accounts, with appropriate permissions.

βš™οΈ Configuration Options

  • Link to Customers

    • Determines if anstore customer accounts can link to WebStore access.

    • Choose the level of required information to complete the link (e.g., account number, phone number, or zip code).

  • Link to Sub-Accounts

    • Determines if sub-accounts can be linked.

    • Also allows selection of required credentials for linking.

Note: Linking is not available for accounts with billing unless the Sub-Account feature is enabled.


πŸ’³ Billing Options

Billing options determine whether customers or their sub-accounts can bill purchases through the WebStore.

πŸ”˜ Allow Customers to β€œBill” Purchases

  • Enable this to allow customers with WebStore billingΒ  (via the Customer settings > WebStore > Billing Tab) to charge purchases to their account through the WebStore.

πŸ”˜ Allow Sub-Accounts to β€œBill” Purchases

  • Enable this to allow sub-accounts to charge purchases if their parent billed account has WebStore billing enabled.


πŸ“¦ 3rd Party Billing

3rd Party Billing allows customers to request to become sub-accounts of billed customers.

  • Enable 3rd Party Billing

    • Allows WebStore customers to submit requests for third-party billing.

    • Only available if the target billed account has this feature enabled on their WebStore Billing Tab.
